What would I write about if someone asked me to write an autobiography or to put together a collection of personal memories that are representative of my life so far? Would I include just the memories that I think made me into the person I am today? Or would I include memories that vary from each other based on a spectrum of emotions? In seventh grade, I was positive that I was going to write a book. About what, you might ask? Well, about my life. I thought everything happening to me was interesting enough that someone might want to hear about all the “very important” dramatic events of my middle school life. It’s not that silly, if you think about it. A lot of people at that age could have easily related to it. The thing is though, that now I realize how difficult it would be to rely on my memory for all the details necessary to write an autobiography worth reading. I can hardly remember any details now, that six years ago, were some of the most important things in my life. This also helps me to back up that the memories Riverbend recalls in her blog posts are reliable because most frequently when she writes them, they are still fresh in her memory.
